The Missoula Chidren’s Theater (MCT) will return to Elkader this summer July 16-21 All children entering 1st Grade through 12th grade are welcome to audition.
Auditions for the MCT presentation of the Little Mermaid are scheduled for July 16 @ 9:45 at the Elkader Opera House.
No preparation is needed just show up for the audition.
Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup.
Rehearsal will continue through the week and schedules will vary depending on the role of the cast member.
Approximate rehearsal time will be from 10:00 am until 2:30 pm. Children participating in the week will have the opportunity to buy their lunch each day from a local food service provider. The lunches will be served just outside the Opera House at
Mascara Park.
Three special workshops for local children will be held during the week. These workshops will be additional
learning opportunities outside of the production. Children that have not been cast can participate in the workshop.
The Little Mermaid will be presented on Saturday July 21st at the Elkader Opera House. Show Times will be 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
There is no fee for the children’s theater week. The Opera House Players are covering the cost of the week, they consider this their gift to the area youth. Interested kids simply need to show up at the Opera House on Monday, July 16th at 9:45 am.

Saturday Main Street Elkader will host an Ice Cream Social between the shows. Brats, Hotdogs, Beans, Chips, Potato Salad, FREE Ice Cream
