Alpine Communications has teamed up with The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) and the Iowa Communications Alliance to offer two scholarship opportunities to our service areas’ high school seniors and students currently enrolled in college.

The Foundation for Rural Service College Scholarship Program awards scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $1,500 to winning applicants across the nation. Eligibility requirements and the application can be downloaded from FRS at https://www.frs.org/images/2016FRSScholarshipApp.pdf Completed applications must be returned to our office by February 16, 2016, so our manager Chris Hopp may endorse the application.  Applications must be postmarked to FRS no later than March 1, 2016.

The Iowa Communications Alliance college scholarship program will award $2,500 to a winning applicant from a rural area who receives telecommunications services from an Iowa Communications Alliance member (Alpine is a member).
